8 WEEKS OLD AND GROWING!!!!

We are having so much fun with Addison and are taking so many pictures. I hope that you are enjoying the ones we post. Thanks to Aunt Mika we got our halloween costume. She absolutely loves her costume and just laid there as we took several hundred pictures. She can't wait for halloween so she can hand out candy to the trick or treaters.
Every Sunday we watch football and she loves sitting with her dad and watching whatever game he has on. In fact she won't take her eyes off the screen.
Thanks to Cousin Noelle she is always dressed in the cutest outfit and has a bow to match everything. Thank goodness because you can never have too many bows.
Her newest thing is loving to sit up with her dad and watch the baseball playoffs. She has really been working at holding her head up and what is better than sitting up and watching baseball.
Grandma and Pawpaw came in this weekend and she loved seeing them. She has now seen all of her Great grandparents and can't wait to spend more time with them.
She is changing so much and is getting so big!! I can't believe that she is already 8 weeks old and is having her two month birthday on Saturday. Happy Birthday!

A MONTH OF FIRST!!!!

We'll there is a first time for everything, and Addison had her share this month. She got to meet aunt Mika, take SEVERAL baths, go to church, and hang out with her great -grandparents. To top it all off we got to witness the marriage of Addison's great-grandmother, Dotty Hill, to Sid Duerr. We could not be happier for them.

Addison's First Vacation

Well we spent last week preparing for hurricane Ike, and Addison was pretty tired after helping hold plywood all day. It looked like it was going to hit Corpus, so we boarded up the house and left town for the Texas Hill Country. The trip turned out to be Addison's first vacation, which included her first restaurant experience. We had a great time and hope everyone in the Houston area is alright.

Having her home is FUN!!

Well, its been a couple of days and she is such a joy. I catch myself just sitting there staring at her. She is such an angel. The crazy thing is she is sleeping pretty good through the night. I am averaging about 6 hours of sleep at night. We had one bad night were she decided that she wanted to be awake but I got her to sleep and it has been great the other two nights. I know it is too early to tell but I have decided to be optimistic about it. She had her first doctor's appt yesterday and she has put on 8 ounces in 3 days and 1 inch since birth so she is growing tons everyday. Everything else looks good and no more problems!!! I caught myself driving extremely slow and taking all precautions as I drove the 1/2 mile to the doctor's office. I now understand why new mother's don't go anywhere it takes a lot of time to get everything ready to leave. We are doing great and are excited about all the new aventures everyday holds.

ADDISON'S HOMECOMING!!!!!

Today we went and picked up our baby girl!! Its about time! We were so anxious that we went to the hospital right after the doctor discharged her ready to take her home. Unfortunately, the nurses had to do some paperwork, bloodwork and we had to watch a CPR video. After we finished all of that we got home at around 4pm. As soon as we walked in the door CoCo was extremely curious of what we brought home. She ran around the house, barked and tried anyway she could to get a glimpse of her. We are trying to get into a routine of feeding, changing her diaper and trying to eat ourselves. It is all such a new adventure, and we have already been pooped and thrown up on. She is already such a blessing to us and we are only expecting more great memories in the future.

Today is a good day!!!

Addison is doing better and better everyday and today was no different. She is completely off of her antibiotics and everything came back negative for any infection. They took her IV off and she will be home when she decides to eat 40 ml every 3 hours. She has become a little lazy about eating but the feeding @ 6:00 she finished all 40 in 5 minutes. If she keeps this up she will be home!! We are very excited about getting her home and start a some what normal life. Well, as much as possible with a new baby. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers and please continue to pray for her to eat more regularly from a bottle.

She's Almost Home !!!!

August 28th, 2008
It's been a great day, Addison has been taken off everything and is eating only from a bottle. The tube in the pictures is not connected and is just there in case of an emergency. We are so blessed to have her, and are looking forward to getting her home. We will find out more information about when she is coming home tomorrow. Here are some pictures and a video of Lindsay feeding her for the first time. Enjoy!!!!
